What is the Mystic Messenger?
Mystic Messenger is a Korean Visual Novel Dating game developed by Cheritz aimed to entertain the female section of society. It is designed to experience dating experience, feelings of being in love, and emotions while sitting on your couch and without actually dating anybody.
It transforms a woman’s imaginations, desires and fantasies into a real experience. The game transports the player into a Utopian land with various characters of different traits you can connect and chat with.
Seven players are connected to the player through a mysterious app called mystic messenger and you can interact with everybody via chat room and sms. You can even make calls to your favorite characters or send emails as well. The characters will interact with you on the basis of your chat with them during chat room sessions. Eventually you will fall in love with the one you like the most and the story will go on.
Mystic Messenger Emails Guide with Story Modes
Mystic messenger consists of three modes which are:
- Casual Story
- Deep Story
- Another Story
The protagonist gets to choose between three routes in Casual Story mode which are Zen, Yoosung and Jaehee. There are two routes available in the deep story mode which are Jumin Han and 707 also known as Saeyoung Choi.
Mystic messenger initially was launched with only two story modes but later after few years the developer of the game crafted another story mode which is also called “Another Story”.
Another story has two routes that are V and Ray. Please note that casual story is freely accessible but deep and another story modes require a specific amount of hourglasses that player can purchase through in-app purchase system.
How to Play Mystic Messenger?
To play mystic messenger, the player is required to download a mobile app called Mystic messenger. Once downloaded, register your name in the app, add your profile picture and start the game. The player will find himself chatting with a mysterious and unknown person who’s nickname in chat is shown as “unknown” as well.
The unknown character tells the player that he found the phone somewhere on a subway. He then asks the player to find the owner of the phone and requests to go to a location that is saved on the phone he has found on the subway.
The player follows the instructions and ends up on an apartment’s door at some location. The door appears to be locked and protected with a password. The unknown person sends the password to unlock the door. Once player enters the apartment, the chat session simply disappears and a new chat room appears where there are several characters chatting with each other before they notice the player’s presence.
After some initial conversation, investigation and confirmation that the player is harmless person and not a hacker or suspicious, they invite the player to join a charity organization called Rika’s Fundraising Association / RFA.
The RFA hosts parties to raise funds for various causes but it stopped doing so after the tragic death of its founder RIKA. The members insists the player become the leader and head of RFA where the player will be required to talk to different guests, and convince them to come to the party that will be hosted by RFA. The goal is to get as many members as possible to the party.
Mystic Messenger Characters
There are a total of 7 characters in mystic messenger but you cannot romance with all of them in one route of the other. Enlisted below are the characters available for romance in all the three stories.
Casual Story: Zen, Yoosung, Jaehee Kang
Deep Story: Jumin Han, 707

Hyun Ryu – ZEN
Usually known as Zen but his real name is Hyun Ryu. He is flirty, naughty and always brags about his good looks. He is always praising how handsome and talented he is. Besides all these traits, ZEN is a loyal, caring and loving character and that’s what we are looking for aren’t we?
Yoosung Kim
Yoosung is a young, energetic university student who loves to play a video game called LOLOL. He is a student but he is not very much interested in his studies.
Jaehee Kang
Jaehee is a beautiful, independent, young businesswoman with a serious attitude. She is personal assistant to Jumin Han. She is the lone female character in the casual story. Jaehee Kang is caring, loving and a hardworking woman you be falling for even before you know it.
Jumin Han
Jumin is the guy with a serious, cautious, and quite nature. He is the heir to C&R International and is always on a business trip. He is always talking about serious stuff, business and work. Jumin has a cat called Elizabeth the 3rd, and he loves her to death.
Saeyoung Choi – 707
707 is a typical guy, with be-happy-always attitude and likes to make fun of everybody around him. He is known as 707 by his closed friend circle. He loves hacking and playing pranks on other especially Yoosung. He might seem like a naughty and non-serious guy but that’s not it. He is more than that.
Ray – Unknown (Saeran Choi)
Saeran Choi is the twin brother of Saeyoung Choi but he goes by his nickname ‘Unknown’ that he later changes to Ray. He is paranoid, aggressive, defensive and hostile to others. He is a guy who does not mix with others easily. You will find it hard to make him love you.
Jihyun Kim – V
V is the guy who keeps things to himself. He is a photographer by profession. He does not poke his nose in anybody’s personal space and that’s something you will fall for. He is not famous and he doesn’t want people to talk about him either, in other words he is not very much fond of the limelight.
Mystic Messenger Emails Game flow
There is certain unpredictability in the gameplay that makes it lifelike and close to reality. Any route you chose will be based on the interaction to other characters in the chat session. Every time you interact with a different character, it will lead you to a different route a different world and a different ending.
You should pay close attention to the chat sessions, and in case you miss a chat, you can unlock the same by spending real money.
You will receive text messenger, and calls from members of RFA. Sometimes they will call you because they are drunk and other times they will call just for fun. Such incidents (calls and messages) make the game more real and let you feel what it is like to be in a real-life relationship.
