The hinges are not 360-degree, but they do let you lay the screen flat on any surface. The 180-degree hinges are strong and durable. When you have to show the screen to a group, you can just lay it flat on a table instead of having to pass the laptop around. The 360-degree hinge would have been better, but because there is no touch screen, it would have been useless.
